Night has spread its wings across the land,
Like a blackbird sweeping through the sky.
Walking with the darkness hand in hand,
I can't see, no matter how I try

Branches brush against my skin like claws,
Broken tree stumps try to make me fall
In this dark the danger quietly grows,
But I have to move towards the call.

As the time goes by, my eyes adjust.
Slowly, shadows starting to appear.
In my sense of vision now I trust,
I can tell the edge of the ravine is near

Walls of trees are now becoming sparse,
Moon can reach the ground through the tops.
Like a solitaire surrounded by stars

Moon

I am looking at the sky. Fractured by the feathered clouds

Floating by like opal orange ice caps through a purple ocean,

Tattered edges reveal slivers of a glowing disc,

Lighting up the cosmos many miles away.

Like ancient longboats they slowly move in order,

Same calm pace, same distance in between;

Slowly, the last night cloud passes by,

Exposing a full moon that was hiding behind them.

Birch Tree

birch tree, I see you stand all alone
In a clearing, so far removed from others.
You strive to belong in the woods with them,
To be among your sisters and your brothers

But strong roots keep holding you down to the ground,
All you can do is tilt your head and flail your arms
Hoping they will see your struggle, come to you,
But they are attached as well, and can't abandon their realms

As days and nights go by, you hear them whisper in the wind.
You want to share your dreams at night, and celebrate beginnings of each day;
But distance is too big, and they can't hear;
You look at them with tired eyes, and quietly wonder what they say

The day is coming to an end,
The clearing and the forest stand in the dark
Your green head is tilted down, you feel defeat,
And clear bitter sap is running down your bark.

You fall asleep and see the dreams
Of standing in the woods, with theirs your branches intertwine.
You feel the wind caress your leaves,
And bring your soul a little closer to divine.

At night the clouds gather 'round
And bring their wrath upon the woods.
The gusts of wind assault you from all sides
Making you hold to the ground by your roots.

And finally you realize that thats your dream;
As nature's power rocks you back and forth
The forceful wind picks up your slender trunk,
And you let go of wet and darkened earth.

The rain is gone, the air is crisp and fresh,
The sun extends its rays, it brings serenity at last
It cuts through darkness with its beams,
the raindrops lay like jewels on the grass

The spot where your roots were once attached
Now vacant, chunks of earth stick out like mangled flesh
Your body now is laying on the ground,
The wounds that storm inflicted are still fresh

Your branches now caress their trunks,
The happiness you never felt before.
The sap so sweet, like tears of joy,
Are dripping down onto the forest floor.

You hear their call, and you respond,
Those whispers finally make sense.
You realize that its your last breath of fresh air, but you know
That you'll forever be among your friends

Rain

Rain- and yet again
I hear your last words
And still I feel
The pain getting worse

All those rainy days
Remind me of you
The way you went...

Thoughts- all those thoughts
That never became words
All those dreams
That never came true

I forgot to tell
How much I loved
Things that were you

I hope forever to fall asleep
So I can see you again in my dreams
Loneliness never has cut so deep
My world fell apart at the seams

They say that time will heal the wounds
But it will never erase the scars;
I know you're there when I look at the sky
Looking at me through the stars.

Drops I will let them fall on my face
Streaming down like tears from above
I know that you are in heaven's embrace ,
Sending me all of your love

Give me a sign, let the sun come out
Through menacing clouds let it shine its light;
Since I always carry you in my heart
I know that I'll be alright.

The Ballad

Where the moonlight meets the water

On a path of light,

She was sitting on a river bank,

Tears like diamonds sparkled in the night.

She already knew without him

Life could never be the same,

When she heard his voice coming from below-

He was softly calling out her name.

Come with me,

Join the waves at last;

We will always be together,

Just like in the past

Come with me

Take the pain away

Let the river help us meet again today

First she thought that she was dreaming,

As she looked in from above;

To her mind then came his last dying words:

“Someday we will meet again, my love.”

Since the day his life was taken

She was living in the past.

Now that Lord just gave her another chance,

She will be with him again at last.

Come with me,

Join the waves at last;

We will always be together,

Just like in the past

Come with me,

Take the pain away,

Let the rive help us meet today

Where the moonlight meets the water

On a path of light,

She was layng on a river bank,

Weeping willows held her body tight

She already knew without him

Life could never be the same

Only moon knew what happened to that girl,

Only wind was calling out her name.

Come with me,

Join the waves at last;

We will always be together,

Just like in the past

Come with me,

Take the pain away,

Let the river make us meet again today.

trailer trash

I really thought that you did love me
That day you clocked me in da face.
You said my fried up chili chitlins
Turned out to be a pure disgrace

I thought you were, like, all romantic
When you unloaded in my hair.
You've left me feeling sad and frantic,
Your crusted jizz is still in there.

I really loved the way you touched me
With your size 13 army boot,
The way we shared together needles
Was just so ultimately cute

I thought you were the one and only,
You even had my email addy
I want you livin in my trailer
And be my 16th baby daddy

But now my life is done and over
You've turned it into livin hell
The day you told me that youve knocked up
That ugly skank from Taco Bell

Succubus

The sin inside your head, eventual demise;
I come to you at night and crawl inside your mind;
I'm here to corrupt; to put your soul in compromise,
Just let me put your whole existence in a bind.

Succumb yourself to the immortal creatures
There is no need to try and fight;
The darkness will erase my features,
You'll never see what came to you at night;

The carnal feast will leave your body limpid,
The moments of your weakness run like bloodline through my veins
I'll drain your body of the lifesaving liquid
And take you to a place where darkness reigns

My passion is like phoenix rising,
I'll seize the night, and lead the way;
But now I see the bloody gleam on the horizon
Alas! I'm due to slowly fade away...
